Head of Grocery

Position Overview:

At Pets Choice we have an exciting opportunity available for a FMCG professional to Head up our Grocery division and be part of our managing board!
This role will have ownership of the Grocery Channel for Pets Choice and responsibility of leading the National Accounts team.

Pets Choice is a leading FMCG Branded and Own Label Pet Food and Pet Products Manufacturer with offices and manufacturing facilities based in Lancashire, Somerset and South Wales.
We distribute brands through all the major Grocery channels, our brands include: Webbox, Bob Martin, TastyBone and Meatiful.

We are one of the fastest growing UK Pet Food manufacturers and due to further expansion we are seeking a talented and ambitious Head of Sales to further strengthen our growing team within the Grocery retail division.
 

Role:

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Grocery role is an integral part of the business and comes with a high degree of responsibility.

The role will sit within the managing board and will take responsibility for delivery of the P&L for the Grocery channel. Accounts will include all of the Major Mult’s, Discounters and Convenience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, manage and motivate a team of National Account Managers across multiple commercial functions.
  • Responsible for the creation, implementation and execution of the Grocery strategy in line with company objectives.
  • Work with Category insights and Marketing teams to develop, implement and maintain strategic account plans.
  • Responsible for the delivery of annual budget plans with focus on profitable growth.
  • Interaction with senior level customer contacts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and work closely with cross-functional teams in order to maximise opportunities and growth.
  • Part of the ‘Managing Board’ with a high degree of accountability.
  • Provide regular reports and presentations based on Grocery performance.
  • Strategic execution of NPD and Innovation plans aligned to our Marketing plan.

  • Proven track record within the FMCG Grocery industry and understanding of the Grocery market.
