Marketing Executive

Position Overview:

The Marketing Executive will work within the Pets Choice marketing team, reporting to the Senior Brand Manager. They will work cross functionally with sales, operations, customer service as well as managing agencies and dealing directly with retailers.

You will be responsible for the creation, execution, and management of your specific brands and supporting the Senior Brand Manager and wider Marketing Team in larger campaign, projects and events.

  • Responsible for the development and execution of brand plans for the allocated brands/categories.
  • Oversee the integrated marketing plans that are tailored for required channel and audience.
  • Responsible for all EPD product developments including packaging changes for the agreed brands.
  • Contribute and actively support in the delivery of the agreed channel innovation plans with support from the innovation and senior brand managers.
  • Lead the creation of marketing communication updates to wider team and business departments.
  • Responsible for brand assets for the brands within the channel.
  • Become the sales champion for the specific sales channel providing updates, information and responding to queries
  • Responsible for samples, displays and customer requests.
  • Responsible for tracking, reporting, and recommending corrective action plans to address performance as well as identifying and leading new business opportunities.
  • Responsible for updating and issuing of internal reporting of all brands, providing insights to wider brand and innovation teams.
  • Take an active role in delivering the business KPI’s of turnover, volume, and profitability targets and in the delivery of brand share targets.
  • Responsible for the daily brand management activities including price reviews, competitor benchmarking, and portfolio management.
  • Support the delivery of the events calendar including the delivery of exhibitions, consumer shows and events in UK and International.
  • Continuously monitor marketing trends and keep a close eye on competitive activity in the marketplace, suggest new ways of working and regularly review working practices to deliver efficient and cost-effective activity.
  • Maintain brand integrity across all company marketing initiatives and communications.
  • Provide cover when required for other brand team members.

Key attributes and skills:

  • Degree in marketing or similar.
  • Minimum of 18 months experience working on a brand, ideally within an FMCG business is essential.
  • At least 12 months of managing several projects at once, with own accountability for delivery.
  • At least 12 months experience in product and innovation development and execution.
  • Experience in dealing with different stakeholders, different departments and presented to external customers or senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills with the ability to interface and influence a diverse range of stakeholders from various cross-function and multi-cultural teams as well as 3rd party agencies and partners.
  • Experience in using and understanding business performance and category data.
  • Resilient, Agile and Creative, innovative, and strategic.
  • Strong analytics skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem solver with a positive and can-do attitude, and welcomes change and working in a fast-paced and time pressured environment.
  • Must be fluent in English, speaking, reading and writing.
  • Full UK and clean driving licence is preferred
  • A pet lover.
