Maternity Cover - International Sales Support

Position Overview:

Pets Choice has an exciting job opportunity for a 12-month maternity cover position working within our International Sales Department. This opportunity is perfect for a self-motivated individual to help drive growth of our pet business internationally.

The role involves working closely with the international sales team to support and help grow our brands in international markets. Supporting customers from enquiry to order to after sales support. The successful candidate will need to be able to read, absorb and understand information well in order to keep up to date with the changes occurring around BREXIT. They will need to possess a good work ethic with a ‘can do’ attitude.

Location:

The location of the role is within our modern head office, alongside its Production site and Distribution Centre located on Whitebirk Industrial Estate, Blackburn.

Role:

The main job tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Liaising with and working with a base of international customers as well as identifying potential leads and supporting enquires and providing logistic data.
  • Processing new orders, progressing through to dispatch status.
  • Communicating internally with teams including finance, production planning, warehousing and marketing to ensure smooth transactions.
  • Communicating externally with hauliers and logistics partners.
  • Completing, compiling and distributing declarations, official documentation and certification; including EHC health, origin, freesale and EUR1 certificates.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice queries and service level issues.
  • Liaising with warehousing teams to ensure all products arrive in good condition.
  • Handling complaints.
  • Working closely with veterinary consultants for shipment sign off.
  • Post-delivery follow up.

Key attributes and skills:

  • Organised and methodical with the ability to multitask between projects whilst meeting deadlines.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Good relationship building skills; confident in dealing with a diverse range of people.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with MS NAV Dynamics is desirable.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually and have good time management.
  • A high level of enthusiasm and initiative.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK on a permanent basis.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Polite, courteous and well presented.
  • Full UK and clean driving licence is preferable.

Package:

The package on offer comprises of a competitive salary based on experience. 

Core working hours are 37.5 hours per week, however due to the nature of the role some out of hours working will be required.

Mobility Requirements:

The role is office based, however there maybe occasional requirement to visit customers and trade shows.
