Graduate Category & Shopper Executive – Blackburn

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious and analytical Graduate to join our Category, Shopper & Insights team at Pets Choice!

This role will offer the Graduate exposure to both Category & Insights and Shopper Activation, providing a comprehensive understanding of a FMCG business, giving you autonomy from day one, along with development and mentorship from senior members of the team.

Role:
  • Reporting to the Head of Category, Shopper Activation & Insights and supporting the Category, Shopper & Insights team.
  • Analyse market data, sales figures and consumer trends to provide actionable insights for category management.
  • Develop and maintain insightful reports and dashboards to track category performance, identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Utilise tools such as Nielsen, Circana, and Kantar to to identify joint opportunities for our business and our retail partners.
  • Support the implementation of category plans and monitor the effectiveness of category initiatives, suggesting adjustments as needed.
  • Develop and execute in-store activation campaigns to increase shopper engagement, drive sales and increase brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Brand Marketing teams to develop in-store campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Work with the Marketing team to design and implement point-of-sale (POS) materials, displays and other in-store branding that align with our brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Work closely with external agencies, suppliers and partners to ensure timely and accurate execution of campaigns.
  • Analyse shopper behaviour, market trends and competition to identify Shopper Activation opportunities.
  • Conduct post campaign analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of shopper activation initiatives and provide actionable insights for future campaigns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and internal stakeholders.
  • This role will require some travel to retailer locations and meetings. A full drivers licence is required.
