Position Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a pet loving Social Media Manager to join an exciting FMCG business and be responsible for planning and executing social campaigns across paid and social channels.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate their creativity, attention to detail, analytical and organisation skills. They should be used to managing multiple brands across various social channels and thrive in a fast paced environment.
This role will work cross-functionally with in-house teams such as brand and design, as well as dealing directly with agencies and business partners.
It is essential that the post holder is confident and comfortable around dogs and other pets and will be able to travel to events and exhibitions.

Role:
- Take an active role in delivering the business KPIs of turnover, volume, and profitability targets and in the delivery of brand share targets through agreed social campaigns.
- Lead the overall strategic plan for organic and paid social, ensuring this aligns with business and brand KPIs.
- Responsible for setting up, reviewing and evolving processes to improve WOW and campaign results.
- Lead and create brand social media plans, collaborating with the brand and shopper teams to ensure integrated campaigns are maximised.
- Responsible for the setting, management and tracking of budgets, demonstrating improved ROI with regular performance reviews and reporting updates. Develop a test and learn approach to refine and improve delivery metrics.
- Responsible for setting, selecting, and recommending the social media execution platform selection.
- Responsible for the overall implementation of all social media activity, ensuring on-time activation.
- Responsible for paid social media for assigned brands/channels, ensuring compliance with guidelines and legislative requirements.
- Responsible for overseeing the organic social media for assigned brands/channels and community management, especially in regards to the business/brand responses.
- Responsible for the consistent execution of brand guidelines (including tone of voice and campaign guidelines) across social media.
- Responsible for ensuring the team are continually trained in latest social media techniques and compliance requirements, champion knowledge sharing on the latest industry developments, competitor activity and legislative requirements.
- Deliver best in class assets and work closely with digital and design teams to ensure optimised assets are produced for the social accounts.
- Craft compelling written content for social media posts across all brands, in line with the brand guidelines and tone of voice. Ensure the monthly content calendar is delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Responsible for developing and executing an influencer strategy across social media, aligning this with brand goals & objectives. Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with relevant pet influencers and brand ambassadors to amplify brand presence and reach.
- Collaborate with the in-house design team to produce high-quality content, including videos, TikToks, and Reels that align with the brands’ voice and identity.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on social media performance using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Insights, and TikTok analytics, and use data to refine strategies and improve results.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and analyse competitor activity to keep content fresh and relevant.
Key attributes and skills:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working across paid and social channels, preferably within an FMCG business
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in planning and delivering Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok campaigns.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in delivery of influencer campaigns and community management.
- Excellent strategic thinking and organisational skills, with experience of acting with pace and can confidently manage multiple projects, channels and brands.
- Excellent communicator who can quickly build rapport and influence others, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent copywriting skills with a creative flair and a proven ability to adapt and flex style and approach for the brand and channel.
- Strong analytic and reporting skills.
- Full UK and clean driving license are preferred.
- Experience of the full Microsoft Office suite and social media platforms, Agorapulse and Upfluence preferred.
- Experience using Google Analytics and experience using CMS platforms to update web content and product information
