Hi, I’m Joe, the Warehouse manager at our Blackburn site and I joined the company in 2023. In my short time at the business, I have seen vast amounts of change and growth, including new business acquisitions. I have been empowered within my role to make decisions that support continued growth, such as planning layouts for future expansions and embedding new processes to increase efficiency.
One of my main takeaways when starting the business was the friendly nature of everyone I spoke to, making it easy to transition into a new company. There are many opportunities to make a difference here and you are given the freedom to make an impact. I’ve already seen how far we’ve come in a short time and I’m looking forward to seeing how far we can go in the years to come.

Hello, I’m Callum, the E-commerce Assistant here at Pets Choice. I joined the business in November 2023 after completing my degree in Business & Marketing from Manchester Metropolitan, where I achieved a first-class honours. Joining Pets Choice felt like the next natural step in my career after university, allowing me to gain valuable experience and learn more about the pet industry. I have enjoyed my time at Pets Choice so far, meeting some great people and working in a supportive environment where I get plenty of opportunities to develop my skills and put my education to use. Overall it has been a great company to join after university with an encouraging and respectful culture.

In my role, no two days are the same. I support our CEO, Tony and the Senior Leadership Team with administrative and operational duties. Sometimes, this involves leading or supporting projects at Pets Choice as well as organising fun events for the team. I also lead on recruitment, normally being the first point of contact for all talent coming into the business!
Pets Choice has evolved massively during my time here and this has been driven by the intelligent, ambitious, hardworking, and influential people within the company. Being close to the ‘people’ side of business, it is wonderful to see the team and consequently the company thrive. My main passion is working on continuously improving our culture and seeing our team collaborate, grow and develop.

Hi, I’m Sam, the Digital Marketing Manager at Pets Choice. I’ve been part of the team for almost four years, where I lead the development of our new websites to ensure we maintain a modern and competitive online presence. My role involves strategizing and overseeing all our digital marketing channels, from PPC to email campaigns, to drive brand growth and connect with our audience. I work closely with a talented team to create engaging content and innovative campaigns that reflect our passion for pets and stay ahead of the latest digital trends.

Hey, I’m Jenny, the Finance Assistant here at Pets Choice. I joined the company back in 2022 as a Credit Controller as I was looking to develop myself professionally. After achieving fantastic results in my first year, the stars aligned (again!) and I was offered a newly created position within the Finance department due to the company growing. This included a 5-year training plan to become a qualified management accountant, incorporating MT Level 3 &4 along with CGMA- it was a dream come true! The support and guidance I’ve received in my new role has been phenomenal and it truly feels like the sky is the limit. It’s been life changing working for a company that invests so much into their employees.

Starting as a Quality Control (QC) Analyst, I was given the opportunity to apply my academic knowledge in a practical setting and quickly gained valuable hands-on experience. The company’s commitment to professional growth was evident through numerous training programs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities.
As I progressed, Pets Choice consistently supported my advancement, culminating in my recent acceptance into training as a Qualified Person (QP). The supportive and collaborative work environment at Pets Choice has been crucial in my professional journey.

I began my journey at Pets Choice in 2020 during lockdown, just before the UK and EU finalized the Trade and Cooperation Agreement. This significantly reshaped our export operations for 45 international distributors.
Brexit has posed ongoing challenges, requiring businesses to adapt continuously to new legislation. In October 2023, I started a three-year degree in Supply Chain Management, studying alongside my role. By January 2024, my team had taken over certain supply chain functions from the Blackburn procurement team to address new import controls and shipping legislation.
Over the past four years, my role has evolved significantly, and I enjoy finding creative solutions to post-Brexit trading challenges. Pets Choice has supported my growth through industry training courses and allowed me to develop our international trade processes. I truly enjoy working here and appreciate the support and collaboration from my teams.

When Pets Choice acquired Bob Martin, I had been working in the Pet healthcare industry for 25 years, so this is my 30th year working in this industry. I started working as a Warehouse Operative and have progressed over the years to my current role as Product Supply Manager. As I’d never worked anywhere other than Bob Martin, working for a new company was a bit daunting but I must say that the transition was absolutely fine. I really enjoy getting involved with all the new projects and as part of my day to day tasks, ensuring we fulfil customer orders. I’m proud to work for such a progressive company with such great people.
